2010 Winter Olympics - Alberta Train
The Government of Alberta and Travel Alberta seized the opportunity to advertise Alberta to the world by leasing trains from award winning Rocky Mountaineer for the duration of the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Alberta Train runs between North Vancouver and Whistler throughout the duration of the games.
As You Like It Media was hired by the Alberta Government and Travel Alberta to film the train as it made it's way from the Rocky Mountaineer train yards in Kamloops to Vancouver. We shot both HD Video and Still photos providing B Roll and Photos for international media. Our team scouted the route one day and shot the beautifully branded train the next day. The morning was dull and overcast, then, in the afternoon the skies opened and we got great shots of the sun glinting on the train! Turn around time was around 48 hours from filming to delivery!
