As You Like It's DVD production of Victoria Maxwell's play "Crazy for Life" has been nominated for a prestigious Prism Award. The Prism awards are held April 24th in L.A. Our crew shot the production last spring and produced it here in North Vancouver. Victoria travels extensively performing her plays and speaking on mental health issues. We are proud to be part of this production and are excited to be nominated.

SPECTACULAR...is a familiar word for all of us at As You Like It Productions and that word describes our client Rocky Mountaineer's new launch of a video we recently produced for them. The unveiling will take place April 19th for all 600 employees at the new Rocky Mountaineer Station and will include motivational speaker, Mark Tewksbury, Olympic gold medalist, and speeches by Rick Antonson, President and CEO of Tourism Vancouver and Peter Armstrong, President and C.E.O of Rocky Mountaineer Vacations. Our video, "Spectacular", will follow and is a moving testament to the employees of Rocky Mountaineer Vacations and GrayLine Tours. All staging is being done by MVKA.

Just completed: DVD production for Forestry Innovation Investment titled "A Vision of the Future." Our videographer in Tokyo, Marc Carpentier, shot Premier Gordon Campbell at a tradeshow showcasing BC wood products. The video covers the trade show and represents several BC companies who have booths at the show and are marketing in Japan, China and Korea.

Also hot off the press is another DVD for Rocky Mountaineer called the Commemorative DVD, given as a gift to visitors who ride the Rocky Mountaineer's fabulous trains. This project began small and grew! We hired actress Sarah Edmondson to play the part of an onboard attendant who invites guests to visit Rocky Mountaineer's new Guest Lounge on their website. Other features of the DVD include an Explore Western Canada segment and a recap of the various routes guests experience, including the new Fraser Discovery Route. Torrance Hurd created the graphics and Dave Schubert authored the DVD.

The documentary "Quebec A Tokyo" featuring the Canadian artist and director Robert LePage, was finished in February and was very well received at the premier screening in Tokyo in March. The documentary is in French and Japanese and is currently being shopped for broadcast in Quebec and in Tokyo.

In the works: We are riding the rails next month to shoot more for RMV including their stage shows in Kamloops.

In development is our Brazilian documentary, currently in initial post-production with footage shot in Rio de Janiero and getting translations done of the interviews.
